The debut of the Basque duo, perhaps it is coffee for the very coffee lovers, but I assure you that within the parameters of the genre they perform, they are considerably fresh. The tunes go a thousand per hour. When saying this, you may also be thinking that in general terms the round, due to excess speed, can become heavy or repetitive. However, nothing could be further from the truth. The amount of twists they contain make listening, in addition to being lethal, satisfying for those seeking really strong emotions. What I would have liked is that in the mix they would have raised the volume of the guitars, since sometimes the pounding of patches overshadows them in such a way that you have to listen closely to know what is happening. I’m not going to lie to you, this has caused the grade to drop in the final calculation, but I couldn’t even joke about failing it.
Devastating beyond measure are the «axes.» Although the best of the aforementioned are not the tremolo picking attacks or the punctual double harmonies, but, as I said before, how original they are when the occasion requires it. I won’t tell you more. Oh, I forgot. The lead guitar appears in dribs and drabs. In doing so…. Oh mom, little joke.
Of course, there is not even the slightest bit of concessions towards accessibility in the vocal section. I say this because the growl festival is unparalleled.
The bass is only noticeable as Odin commands in the initial ‘The Second Coming of Negative Utopia’. Four-string addicts can’t miss it.
The percussion gives you little respite. If like me you are obsessed with «lightning hits» and faster up tempos, you are in luck.
