Legion Lethal Liberty is one of the most important albums in Spanish metal, and for many reasons. To start with, these guys had charisma. It’s been 22 years since they left, some of them, like Jonathan Dolcet, don’t want to know anything about metal anymore, but there is still demand for Legion, young people who didn’t live through those years know them, there must be a reason. Legion wasn’t a normal band, they had an idea, they didn’t want to be known in Spain, they wanted to be known internationally, and there were very few bands with such high aims… completely justified aims, they had quality, an anecdote, when they went to record their last work in Tampa (Florida) the producer told them that they were better than Coroner, according to the producer Coroner composed more complex songs, but Legion had more appeal, that says it all.
